28 km Floe Lake to Helmet Falls GC
We had another day of perfect weather, amazing views and tons of elevation gain and loss.

All day we walked on the world-renowned Rockwall Trail in Kootenay National Park. It’s 30km with a one kilometer high escarpment to the West. It’s impossible to always stay close to the wall due to glaciers and rock fall. So we hiked up and down multiple drainages.

Amazing country. Hopefully the bugs are dyin’ off!
Hey Nancy! I believe it was you I bumped into and chatted briefly on the Rockwall Trail. Based on my pack you were wondering if I was doing the whole GDT. Hopefully in the next couple years I will! Have a blast heading north.
Yes. You should do it before it all burns up. I hear that the Rockwall Trail is now closed due to a fire. Big bummer.
Oh my gosh, Nancy! The photos of this adventure are over the top beautiful! Thank you for taking us along by way of your blog and spectacular scenery!
