AZT Day 21. More Contemplative Trail. October 25, 2010

Navajo Springs and side trail to  Mormon Lake Lodge (mile 262.9) to a bit past Shuff Tank (mile 276)
Total miles: 236.7 miles

It did rain hard last night and I was very happy and dry sleeping in my car. I went out to breakfast at the Early Bird Restaurant and met another woman AZT hiker.

The sheriff got me an earlier ride with a neighbor of his so I got back on the trail earlier than I thought I would.

Everything was scrubbed clean from last night’s rain. Some of the mud was pretty slippery.

None of the trail was stunning but it was a perfect trail for contemplative thinking.

I really didn't want to mess with these guys.

I met Malvin again as he was stopped eating dinner. I also picked up another water cache from Sequoia. I still haven’t used any water that wasn’t from town or a cache. But there is water out here.
