Day 89. The Best River Valley. January 30, 2016.

Bealey Hut km 2179 to Lake Evelyn on Harper Road km 2222

A foggy morning turned into a gorgeous sunny day. The skies were super clear…. like an Apple Retina screen.

I passed by Hamilton Hut which has great memories. I stayed here with my brother in 2011.

In the afternoon I walked with Brett, Sean and Arno along the Harper River valley. We forded it numerous times. All easy.

Now on the other side

We deviated a bit from the TA and were rewarded with some of my favorite views yet.

Not me. This is my reality.

There are no huts around here so I am tenting for only the 2nd time on the South Island.
