11.8 km Near the end of the Howes River Flood Plain Alternate to Mistaya Canyon Parking Lot on Hwy 93.
Our 2nd breakfast spot was on a bluff overlooking the river.
The blowdowns got fewer and the brush less intense as we got closer to the end of this section.

But there were still some blowdowns and knockdowns.

Our short day landed us at The Crossing Resort at Saskatchewan Crossing. Our bodies and clothes are now clean.
We head out tomorrow for the next section. It’s 6 days so our packs will be heavy. It is supposed to be the grandest yet. I can’t wait.
At first I thought you were showing us the brutality of the trail and damage to your shoe. Then I notice Griz!
Ha, ha. I had new shoes waiting for me at the hotel.
We are busy watching from New Zealand. An inspiration to get fit and leave New Zealand!
NewZealand trails are tough. You will have no trouble here.
