So… I am way behind on the blogging thing. Time for a little catching up.

I went up to Fairbanks for a couple of days. A real grocery store for the first time since Anchorage. Heaven.

I met a bunch of great people at the hostel. From New Zealand, Australia, Germany plus more. 2 of the Germans had just canoed down the Yukon. That trip keeps coming up.

I was told that the best place to get maps was at the Map Room of the Geophysic’s department of the University of Alaska. What a place!  Maps all over the walls.  And I got maps of Denali State Park.

The campus had a building titled Arctic Health Research Center. Sounds exciting.

The museum there was awesome.  Dinosaurs. Stuffed animals. Art. Great exhibits.
