For the 4th day Mt Denali was shining bright in the morning sun.
I rode the bus back to Eielson Visitor center and by 11:30am the mountain was just about obscured. I hiked up the Alpine Trail.
Once I got on top and to the trails end I was walking on tundra and finally got it. You really can walk anywhere up here.
Later, back at camp a couple of mosquitos photo bombed my picture of a rainbow.
Wonder Lake has a reputation for having LOTS of mosquitos. Luckily this year they haven’t been bad. I never put on my head net.

Wow. When we were there last during early August, we saw the whole mountain for about 2 hours one afternoon. Otherwise, it was all clouds and rain. Enjoy the view!

So beautiful. Did you know that Loren guided his clients to the summit of Denali 4 times back in 1979-1983!!!!!
Yes! He is a stud! I remember him telling me how important it is to clean your body of sweat so you stay warm. Use snow! It must be so amazing to be on top of that mountain on a clear day.
