Got up this morning and still felt comfortable with my plan to skip. Then I talked to my friend, Swami. He put some doubts in my head. After coffee and breakfast I knew I wasn’t skipping. I was going to stay true to the thru. Grasshopper dropped me off back at Santium Pass. Immediately I saw Bigfoot who I haven’t seen since my first visit to the Etna Brewery.

The hiking today was great. I’m so glad I didn’t miss it. Thunder clouds built up all afternoon. There were great views back toward Mt Washington and The Sisters and ahead to 3 Fingered Jack and Mt Jefferson.

I stopped early and am camped with Bigfoot at Rockpile Lake.  It sprinkled just a bit after we set up our twin tents. The ridges around the lake blocked some of the sunset but it was still beautiful.
