Saw more pitcher plants today. I wish these carnivorous plants would eat more mosquitos.
A couple days ago we decided to try to make it to Etna on Wednesday. … in time to go to the brewery. After the short first day we needed to do a 26 and two 32s. And today’s 32 was the easier one so we decided to try for more to make tomorrow a bit shorter. But then the perfect campsite appeared. Views in 3 directions. Views of the Trinity Alps and Shasta. Incredible clouds promised great color. We were like little kids running around taking photos.
We even got a rainbow

It will be an evening to remember. I love beer but I would take this over beer every time. Now we just need to get lucky with a hitch into town from EtnaPass tomorrow.
