My brother Jim picked me up in Etna for a planned 4 days off from hiking. I’m visiting my mother in Redding.

Marketfest in Redding

Jim is driving mom and I to San Francisco to meet with 2 other brothers and their families for dinner with a cousin from Berlin/Singapore.  It’s a long way just for dinner…… but should be lots of fun. It’s a nice break from the trail. I’ll get to meet a whole new bunch of hikers when I start hiking again on Monday. 

Debbie helped fatten me up with a great dinner last night. Elin and Bob came over too.
