We slowed down to appreciate Vasquez Rocks Park which is right next to the town of Agua Dulce.

We stopped at Sweetwater Cafe for an awesome breakfast and met up with JJ….. our Idyllwild trail angel.

Hiker Heaven is probably the most famous trail angel stop on the PCT.  It’s just as amazing as I remember it from 2009. But unfortunately the owners Donna and Jeff aren’t here this weekend. Our loss. Steaks, salad, asparagus and wine for dinner. Life doesn’t get any easier.

Flowers, my favorite, then again . . . Also enjoy the angle and composition on your rock formation shots. 15 mile per day average, fantastic!

Thanks for sharing another beautiful adventure! Look out for a couple of trail nubies from Petaluma…their mom and dad will be hoping to rendezvous with them in late May 🙂
Keep soaking up the wonder 🙂

Hi, WhyNot! I really like this blog-site and the way the photos enhance your always interesting reports. With so little snow on the ground in our wilderness areas here in N CA, it’s possible to drive to most all the trailheads! Hopefully, you’ll find less snow on the trail and will be able to bag more miles each day cuz o dat! Looking forward to seeing you at Soda Springs in Castle Crags AND at Bingham Lake!!!

Hi Why Not! I am a friend of your friend Diana in Petaluma. My daughter and her boyfriend are on the trail too. From looking over your blog, I think they are a ways behind you. They were in Big Bear on 5/2. They are Terrible and Horrible–actually a very nice young couple though. I hope you get a chance to meet, and good luck on the Trail!!!!
