The day started out foggy, drizzly and cold. Perfect desert hiking weather. The day ended with showers, clean clothes, food, beer and a bed.

I thru hiked this trail in 2009. So far I can’t remember much of the trail…. that’s good. It’s like a whole new trail. The biggest difference is that there are WAY more women close to my age out here. Tonight I’m sharing a cabin at Mt Laguna with 4 of them.   Fun times.

I love being surrounded by the enthusiasm of first time thru hikers.
