We woke to smoky skies and it got worse though out the day. Big bummer for the views.

It was a 3 pass day. Raid Peak Pass, Sentry Peak Pass, and Photo Pass.

Down Photo Pass into the reservation.

We entered the Indian Reservation after Photo Pass. Yes, we purchased a permit. Very few people visit here and that fact is probably responsible for all the elk scat we saw for the rest of the day. We also saw a bull elk and a black bear. Both animals were in the distance and acted like they are supposed to. They ran away.

After we put our tents up it seemed to clear somewhat. Hopefully we will have clearer skies tomorrow.
