HRP Day 33 – The Rocks Came Back  – August 3, 2017

1/2 hour past Cabana Coms de Jan to l’hospitalet-pres-l’Andorre

Today we walked from Andorra into France, back into Andorra and now are back in France. Each border is a pass of course.
The morning was more gentle and we walked on a lot of grass. The 2nd half of the day was mostly on rocks of all sizes. Every foot placement takes great care. It’s wearing me out.

Finally l’Hospitalet-pres-l’Andorre is in sight. It’s still a long way down.

We are now in l’Hospitalet-pres-l’Andorre staying in the Gite.  There is a couple here from New Zealand so of course I enjoyed talking to them. Another HRP hiker, Pierre, is also here with his wife. We saw him the day we met up with Paul and Chantal. It was great to find out how his hike has been going.

The gite d’Etape in l’Hospitelet is a friendly place .. when you get to Lac des Bouillouses the Auberge Carlit and the Gite d’Etape are good but not the Hotel Bones Hores… You are on the last lap now! You say it is wearing you out but you are still going like a train, well done!
